OMICS4 combines host transcriptomics and microbiome profiling to help researchers understand host-pathogen interactions and microbial community dynamics, in-house and with our infectious-disease partner.
Platforms used in this field
Overview
OMICS4 runs the sequencing behind infectious disease studies: host transcriptome, 16S and shotgun metagenomics, from matrices where a standard extraction underperforms. Biosafety and containment are scoped at intake, not after the samples arrive.
Platforms
16S and shotgun sequencing of the microbial community.
Host RNA sequencing from the same collection.
Nucleic acid recovered from difficult matrices.
Targeted detection and load measurement.
Swabs, stool, biopsies, blood, isolates, biofilms and environmental samples. These are the matrices where a standard extraction underperforms, so the protocol is chosen per matrix rather than applied as one blanket standard. Collection protocols are published per sample type, and the DNA criteria apply after extraction.
Sample logistics and laboratory handling are scoped to your biosafety and containment requirements at intake, before anything is shipped. Part of our laboratories sit within the Méditerranée Infection building in Marseille, one of Europe's leading infectious disease research institutes.
A QC report for every sample. Sequencing files and, where the service covers it, aligned and quantified outputs. Result tables for PCR and protein work. Exports in the formats your team already imports, and turnaround published per service.
Analysis, integration, biomarker discovery and modelling are not part of a platform booking. They are run by GenXMap’s computational team. Ask for them in the quote request and both are scoped together.
